A mind to con l L use , a heart to sympathise and a hand to help ir . e qualities which have endeared Dr, Edward Dimnent to all who have associated with him during his forty- nine years of noteworthy service to Hope College. As professor of Hope, his Alma Mater, he has imparted his genius into every phase of college activity. During his presidency of Hope 11918- l1J5lj Doctor Dimenent's executive prowess was instrumental in douhling Hopes enroll- ment, while greatly enlarging the College faculty. Witli unlimited energy he also stimulated special interest in music and mis- sions. One of the outstanding achievements ui' his presidency was the erection of Hope Memorial Chapel, completely designed hy Doctor Dimnent. Since 1951, Dr. Dimnent has been head of the Department of Business Administration. A master ot' composition, Dr. Dimnent has contributed several exemplary writings to literary circles.
