It is anticipatecl that one.1clclition.1l clining hall will also be nc-eclecl for thc' Yl.'.ll'. l'n'st on the schetlule of permanent improve- ments ls the complete reclecorating ancl remoclel- ing-ifX.1I1R.1.1ltc'H.1ll , The main entrance. which is to lace north, will eliminate much of the con- gestion in the vestibule bv rerouting the stairs ancl iiakinu the corriclors lighter. Tile floors in the classrooms ancl corriclors ancl new wainscoting on the walls are incluclecl in the plans for interior reinocleling, Some of the classrooms will be changed over to provide all faculty members with offices for conferences ancl counseling. One of the most urgent permanent neecls is a new womens clormitory. Plans for a building housing 150 women have been clrawn up, and construction will begin as soon as materials are .1x'ailable, Carnegie Gymnasium will undergo renovation accorcling to the present plan. lt will be enlargecl ancl moclernizecl to meet the clemancls of an athletically-minclecl stuclent bocly. Graves Libary is also clue for some changes in the future. An entirely new building will be erectecl. while the present library will be used only for aclministration. The general cam-pus appear- ance will be beautiliecl by a complete landscaping operation. From a brief sketch of these plans, it is apparent that Hope is preparing for expansion, first on the temporary level, but later on a per- manent basis.
