The designing was done by the vocational drafting classes, and the metal and machine shops did the actual building. In mid November, the work was begun to combine the better parts of a Volks- wagen and a Corvair. The car was to be built to make it legal for street use. Under the supervision of Mr. Schoulty and Mr. McCauley, the classes learned to achieve a goal by working together. Fur top lcyii' Sue Luckner stirs cream filling in home economics class. Cartoons, Computers Add Variety Mr. Palmer expressed enthusiasm for a new assignment he has in- troduced to his Art IV classes. This new feature requires each of the stu- dents to develop an original ani- mated cartoon, which involves creat- ing unique characters, composing a script, and producing and directing the film. The assignment is designed to provide the students with a better understanding of, and experience in working with film-making K techniques. Several new additions have been made to the Math program, in- cluding two electronic calculators, a new computer, and a Math Seminar Course. The calculators and com- puter are being used to perform tedious computations formerly done by students. The Math Seminar Course was introduced to provide students with topics not covered in Senior Math. ',,,.4-ntvnlf .,,..pn-nH-
