LANGUAGE The English Department, which has six teachers, has received new emphasis recently because of the realized importance of learning to speak fluently and to read and write correctly as preparation for years ahead at college or at work. INDUSTRIAL ARTS Cooperation through coordination is repre- sentative of the work in Industrial Arts, Me- chanical Arts, and the Printing Classes of Mr. Hoffer and Mr. Stefan. The students in this department of Hoover High mend the broken chairs and tables, obtain a knowledge of car' pentry in their minds, and secure a surplus of sawdust in their shoes. Ink-stained hands from the play tickets and football programs are the trials and tribulations of these students, also the chance of poor grades for incorrect letter formations or crooked columns.
