TABLE OF CONTENTS Now that this, another school year, has drawn to its close, we realize-when taking another look into the now still hourglass- that even though these grains of sand may look the same, there are four distinctly different types of sand which have constituted this past year. Let's take a close look and see just what each type is: the first type, and the type which helped to lay our foundation for the years to come was .......... THE FACULTY. Without our second type we would have no need for this annual, next come .......... THE CLASSES. Next in line is that type which seemed to form the aftermath of classes ............ ACTIVITIES. Last, but by no means least, we find the fourth type which interests any loyal Viking ........... SPORTS.

FOREWORD It is with great pride that we of the 1955-56 Viking staff present our edition of the Viking,'. This year, we are using a three-color scheme composed of the Viking orange and black, as well as the white of the Senior Class colors, crimson red and white. We have divided the book into four sections including faculty, classes, activities, and sports. We hope that our theme of passing time will help you to recall many pleasant memories of the years spent in No-Ca-Hi. We hope, also, that many of you will enjoy attending Hoover High School and will obtain from it as many pleasant memories.
