Skills and Sportsmanship Conveyed Physical Education gives stu- dents a chance to get out from behind a desk and get away from the books. After spending all day in the classroom, fresh air and ex- ercise help clear the cob webs of the mind. To aid in developing the quali- ties of the perfect physical speci- man, courses from bowling to badminton are offerd. Introduction To Careers Here at Hoover High School, all students are encouraged to take one year of Typing, Short- hand or Accounting, and as time allows, more courses of their choice. Everyone should have a salable skill when they leave high school. Everyone needs some basic business training to be able to function in our society. We all earn money, pay taxes, borrow money, buy, sell, and in many ways come in contact with busi- ness everyday of our life. Some people learn the skills needed to cope with this part of their life in school. For some though, this training comes from the school of hard knocks. .. .. .'
