How much weight, they asked them- selves, could their structures support before crumbling? The answer came soon enough as the ama- teur engineers, students, in Hoover's Mesa club, readied their oil derrick for competition. The Spanish Club studies the culture, the customs, and the language of the people of Spain. Their big excursion this year was on April 16. The AsianfAmerican Club brings together two different ethnic groups. They are, of course, the Asians and the Americans. The club, sponsored by Mrs. Markovich, travels to other schools and confers with other clubs to exchange thoughts and ideas. S'roines, Cseniors spelled backwardsl, is a club exclusively for senior girls. Their main goal is to encourage friend- ship among each other and to make their last year at Hoover a year to remember. This year's officers consist of Presi- dent Robin Holley, Vice President Lisa Renburg, and Secretary Jill Espanosa. Together they led the club in many wild and crazy activities such as rousing up the football team at an early hour and taking them to a kidnap breakfast. verski, Lisa Martin, Shelly Snow, Susan Star, Brenda Thomas, Janet Dunn, Kim Hatcher. here are twenty two Senior students o are in Primary Mental Health.
