Hit the Bullseye There was a hush in the crowd, as talented Junior, Lori Yancura, stepped up to the platform. Slowly taking the pointed object into her fingers, she flung back her wrist, closed an eye, and let fly. Her palms were sweating with anticipation as the small spear approached it's destination. Then suddenly, club sponsor, Robert J arnagin, walked by. While he was about to sneeze, the dart surprisingly flew directly into his mouth, down his esophagus, and into his stomach, where it prompt- ly split the apple which he had eaten for breakfast that morning. This is just a small portion of the interesting things that happened to Hoover's Dart Club members this year. Team member Dexter Meckler, when asked about the club, ex- claimed, I think it's fantastic! HIT ME WITH your best shot, and fire away. Hit a balloon, win a prize. Always Punctual Quill and Scroll, contrary to popular belief, is alive and well, somewhere on this campus-we think. We asked several students if they knew anyone in Quill and Scroll. Their responses were all the same, The what? We've searched high and low to find a Quill and Scroll Club member but, unfortunately, couldn't find one. Perhaps they are distant relatives to the Olympia Artestians and only come out at night be- cause they are too busy writing all the time. There are no stereotypes like the dumb jock, the computer kid, or the blonde cheer- leader. A Forensic student doesn't sing in the shower, he recites speeches. It's not uncom- mon at a Forensic tournament to see twenty students talking to walls, bushes, and lamps, all practicing their speeches. Instead of dreaming of winning their league in football, Forensic students dream about going to the National finals to perform an oratory speech. The German International Club is a very interesting foreign club. They study the language, the culture and the customs of the German people.
