Suddenly the bright lights flashed down on the musicians as they played their first note to get the evening rolling. For four hours Hoover students and their dates socialized and danced to the music of the band. A Night on Broadway the theme of the 1982 Junior-Senior Prom, was held on May 22, as the Star Palace represented Broadway for the evening. The Star Palace, which once used to be the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, was a new loca- tion for the Prom this year. Past Proms were usually held at Fresno State University. The Star Palace was decorated in red, white, and black, with life-size silhouettes of famous stars of the 30's and 40's on the wall. The couples were treated to something extra with the addi- tion of valet parking. Sponsored by the Class of '83, plans got un- der way as early as last year AHbh0HyJ0r1eS with the reservation of the JJOMS Palace. A committee worked ones throughout the year.
