Dean Ertl Linda Escoto Gregory Espinosa Jill Espinosa The Stars School Spirit Lives On School spirit brings back good memories of a year, for it is spirit and enthusiasm that make high school fun. Plenty of spirit was always pre- sent at Patriot football games, where many stu- dents could be found cheering in the confetti- filled stands. There is much more to school spirit than foot- ball games, however. Many students often par- ticipated in class competitions, which added a bit of excitement to lunchtime, as did intra-mural whiffle ball tournaments. The band also contrib- uted a feeling of pride, not only at games and rallies, but in Washington D.C. where they trav- eled in April, representing Hoover and the rest of California. Cheerleaders and Pep Girls, as well as people involved in sports, provided entertainment for students at rallies, making them a success. Enthusiasm subsides though, as this year comes to an end, for Seniors are now looking forward to graduation and their future, while others look forward to summer vacationg but Pa- triot pride and spirit will return in the fall when a new generation of students replace the old.
