-1-:1.ln 4.4, A if A N v we 'E' .ff 1 I its ,. Q sf H- mar. - ' Leaders of the Pack We came together from many different areas. Some of us were born in the Fresno area but didn't get to know each other until we came to Hoover. We were the first class in the desegre- gation program. We were bussed in the ninth grade to, learn how to cooperate with people different than ourselves. Some of us went to Freshman schools, but all of us led the way for the following classes. As alclass, our basic goals were to enjoy the experiences at Hoover High. We tried to keep communication between teach- ers and students open, so we could learn more. One thing our class did do was try! We were in charge of the 1981 Junior-Senior Prom, and it was a great success. We all worked together and had a lot of fun. We learned from the organizing and the teamwork. There are many differences between the time our parents went to school and when we did. They weren't surrounded by drugs and alcohol like we are today. They were under different R0 mr- Q.- peerrpressures than we were. The spirit at our football games was great. We yelled and screamed for hours, and then we couldn't talk for days. After the banners were torn, and the game was over, most of us went for pizza. I sometimes wonder how we all fit inside. It was hard to find a seat, or get your pizza before 11:00. Most of the 1982 Senior class is bound for college. Our per- sonalities and ideas are going to take us into different areas of life. Just as we came from many different areas ourselves. We'll become doctors, lawyers, politicians, parents, etc. Wherever you are, let someone know your address, so we can get a hold of you for the reunion. I want to thank the people who helped me in the Senior class activities. I've had many memorable years here, because of you. Thanks. ' Sherry Kowallis X
