Throughout the year, they all became close friends. Karen Wil- liams and Tracie Ramey did a great job as head flag girls. They came in 2nd place in Madera, 4th in Cloves and lst in the Veteran's Day Parade. They had to work hard, but it paid off in the end. Left- the end' 85

Steve Kruse, Lou Leonardo, Todd Memmott, Bill Murphy, Iohn Paulsen, Robbie Rocholz, Danny Zingarelli This year the Percussion Section set out to be itil, under the direction of instructor Dave Clyde and section leader Steve Kruse. They did their usual drum solos and painted their faces, but after many months of hard work they had a solo written by Dave Clyde called Black Market . They went ot Lodi for Drum Competition and walked away with lst place. That's the first time any Hoover drum section has done that before. Theyill be continuing their great preformances this spring at Tracy and Stockton competition with a new drum solo called Lezghinka by the Santa Clara Van Cuards Drum Corp.
