Varsity xg ' 1 Z , , v Lf 5 4 .- V 'fv- D ,,b,,,..,,,,,,. ,..1 mfr' lr ' sw., Hoover started the year by beating Hanford, 14-10. We continued a good season with only 2 losses. One against arch rival Bullard, whom we have lost to for several years now, and one to Clovis. The Madera game and Clovis West game were probably the most exciting ones of all. Madera ranked 411 in the val- ley at the time and Hoover was unranked when we beat them 14-12. Hoover finished up in 2nd place in the NYL along with Bullard, but due to the defeat by Bullard early in the season, Hoover couldn't go to the playoffs. The Team captains and offense and defense leaders were Scott Sipe and Jerry Salazar. We surely will miss our great seniors, but we have high hopes in our juniors and our up-coming sophomores. So everyone keep your spirits up, and we'lI win the Bull- ardfHoover spirit banner and beat Bullard too! A- Coach Harris tells it like it is. B- Scott Buss kicks a good one.
