Good Fortune and Success Prosperity, as defined by the dictionary, is good fortune and success. Good fortune and success are states of mind. Some people feel that to be successful is to be alive and happy. Others feel that money and position in life represents success. For many Hoover students the key to prosperity is education. They feel that going to college, studying towards a career, securing an important position and making money is the way to be successful. Other students believe that getting married, settling down and having children is the way to be successful. Neither is wrong. Therefore, the key to prosperity is good fortune and success whatever that means to the individual.

' vii The key to life is believing in one's self. The little boy who falls off his tricycle cries, but he gets right back on and keeps trying until successful. Unfortunately, as little kids grow up, they sometimes lose the will to keep on trying. Of course, as they get older they are faced with more difficult problems than learning to ride a tricycle, but the will to succeed should never change. Many individuals do keep trying and obtain goals they set for themselves. They seem to know where they're going and are ex- tremely happy.
