Much planning makes Homecoming a realit Homecoming Spirit Week had all the tradi- tional activities: a Spirit Breakfast with a menu ofdoughnuts and milk, a Cake-Off, and ! V a car rally. On Friday girls wore yellow mums V on their green sweaters. Enthusiasm was not 6? V, as important this year. Students did not wear 5 f fiei' the traditional green and gold colors through- Vg out the week, and the spirit buttons were ' . QS 1 stolen. W ' ' The Homecoming attendants were an- nounced in a special issue of THE CHAL- A ' I LENGER. Pictured on the front page were ff, V 12, , 1' ' 9 Q. ,t '1 t ,-W 13 Gt , P g QA chocolate Dis QQKOW S the senior candidates. A paragraph about each girl contained her qualifications and gave some insight into her personality. The game half-time activities were filled with excitement. The queen and her court were presented to the student body, the Hoov- erettes and band marched, and gold balloons were sent floating into the air. The football team won its first victory of the season and survived the bumps and bruises the North team tried to inflict.
