of 1961 Presents Hoosick Falls Central School Hoosick Falls, New York Dedication We the class of 1961 take pleasure in dedicating our Vagabond to Mrs. Eloise M. Canzeri. Throughout the past ten years her cheerful willingness to give of her talent for the pleasure and education of the entire student body and our community, has given her a lasting place in our memories. 2 In Memoriam The class of 1961 dedicates this page in our yearbook to our former band director and friend, Mr. H. Bradford Cole, Sr., as a token of the deep appreciation of a grateful school and community, for a life- time of service and leadership. Principal’s Message To the Class of 1961: The completion of your secondary school education is a mark of achievement of which you can be justly proud. You have finished a first phase in the process of education which is never ending. For some of you this marks the last of formal education you will receive; for others this point is a stepping stone to higher education. But for all of you the habit of learning must be continued for the rest of your life. The process of educa- tion never ends, and we can improve ourselves and our environment only as we continue learning. Congratulations and very best wishes from all the faculty! 4 y clni ini 5 tr ci tion Guidance Director Leslie Linsenbarth Fine Arts Helen Miller Eleanor Kelly Nancy VonHaggin Ann Doyle Bertram Stritch Maurice Beaulieu William Peckham Social Studies Donald Roy Nancy VonHaggin Warren Eastwick A Commerce T. There are many Freshmen on the squad so inexperience has been one main reason for the 50 5fc win rate. They hope that the experience gained thus far will help them to play a better brand of ball for the rest of the season. The fall of 1960 turned out to be a very disappointing football season for the Hoosick Falls team. It shows the sad accomplishment of one win against six defeats. This was due mainly to the fact that a good number of the boys were playing their first year of football and were very inexperienced.
