DRAMA Tl The Dramatics Club elected its officers last spring and got off to a quick start this fall with the pro- duction of a three -act play entitled The June Graduate by Provence. Beverly McLaughlin, the president Donald Foster the vice president, and Louise Iverson, the secretary were in charge of the committees and a very capable cast was selected. Butch Speanburg, starring in the title role, was ably assisted by Betty Ann Gilchrist, Lucille Rospo and Louise Iverson. Other students with minor roles were: Roger Tordoff, Ted Tate, Liz Weber, Rita Geren, George Hoag, Joe Breen, and Liz Stover. The final performances were November 1 and 2. A one-act play was presented by a group of seniors at the school annual Christmas party. In spite of several last minute substitutions, it proved to be hilarious entertainment. For the second dramatic program of the year, it was decided to try three one -act plays, offering a variety of drama. A cast of junior high boys put on an amusing cowboy'comedy called Summer Comes to the Diamond O , a group of sophomores featured a murder mystery with the title The Haunted Theater' and six upper classmen were chosen for the light comedy Married at Sunrise. The leading characters in these two plays were portrayed by Bonnie Spigner, Lynnie Hill, Bill Iverson, Charles Croll, Lucille Rospo, louise Iverson, Patty Stodgell, Rita Geren and Ted Tate. The date for this program was March 22. As the year drew to a close, the seniors were involved in making plans for their final appearance- a class day program. v
