CLASS PROPHEC Y On June 29 1967 the tenth annrversary of our graduatton the class of 57 had IIS reunron at the rnauguratron of Ray Norton as the new Mayor of Nortonvrlle The entrre class was present erther to entertarn or to enyoy themselves The first event of the day was Ray s swearrng rn followed by the customary parade Cars for thrs event were supplred by Roger Tordoff of the Souped Up Ford Company Thrs was fol lowed by a fashron show put on by Marge Arno assrstant to Chrrstlan Dror For the protectron of all a first ard statron was set up under the supervrsron of Mrss hourse Iverson R N The sarlors from Camp Burdrck were grven the day off to attend the brg event wrth therr queen Iva Jane Tordoff We were honored to have Professor Frank Wrley at the celebratron l-Ie rs the new wrnner of the 1966 Unrversal Spellrng Contest The rnaugural luncheon was served buffet style by Lucrlle Krng famous Italran caterer Specral guests were Betty Ann Speanburg Beverly Sprgner Theodore Tate famous flea surgeon three of Buddy Wagner s drrvers Joe Drck and George the famous Indran prtcher Ron Feulner and Elvrs Presley s new secretary Lourse Norton Don Foster Arr Force prlot was released from K P to be there on hrs buddy s brg day To recall our good basketball days we had a game wrth Jrm Connolly as our star player and Rrta Geren as our star cheerleader Julro Morley famous TV sports commentator descrrbed the game as rt was televrsed by Clrff Mel and Don C along wrth the other actrvrues of the day Cocktarls were served at 8 00 p m precedrng the ball by Gus Krng who leamed to mrx them from hrs father rn law At nrne o clock the Inaugural Ball began Musrc was provrded by Lawrence Welk s Orchestra featurrng Brll Lapp on trumpet The tradrtronal Polka was danced by Mr Welk and Patty Stod gell vocalrst Lrz Weber took a day off from her 30 lrttle krds fsecond gradej to attend the Ball Other guests were Bob Belden headguard at Guptrll s Roller Arena fthe old mard of 575 Joan Stevens Danny Werr of the Weir Farm and star gazrng Davrd Hoag of Mt Graylock Obser vatory The ladres all looked lovely rn gowns desrgned by Hazel Carpenter of M Solomon s After a lovely time was had by all Earl cleaned up the , fcall rt what you please ll u F lv f YI ' ' a r 1 .
