Dawn Gaither Libby Witty, Editor in Chief “Catch the Wave' was chosen to be the title and theme of the 1987 yearbook because it expresses the excitement of looking back on a great year and then looking forward to a great future. I hope you will see what I mean as you flip through this book There are so many things to remember and so many things to look forward to. The Sophomore class has been described as the beginning of the wave, and the kids that are coming up with enthusiasm and new ideas The Junior class is the wave at its peak They are excited about almost being Seniors. When the wave crashes on the beach, you have the Senior class. They've been through it all and are now ready to form a new wave and go on to do new things, great things. We have a lot to look forward to In the future There will be people from here making their own waves. There will also be new faces to add to the growing spirit due to the consolidation. This year has been a great year for all organizations, activities, and sports Congratulations to everyone involved Skim the pages of the “Wave” and see how much you remember and maybe see things you've never seen before. The staff and I would like to wish everyone at H-EL the best of luck in the coming year. We would also like to wish Coach Hannig the very best of luck as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at DACC.
