November 7th and 8th the Hoopeston-East Lynn Drama Club Thespians presented the play “Flowers for Algernon.” Set in modern- day New York, the play depicted the life of Charlie Gordon, a retarded adult who became part of an experiment with a laboratory mouse named Algernon to increase his mental abilities. Although the experiment ultimately failed, Charlie learned valuable lessons about love and trust. Flowers for Algernon 24

SPRING MUSICAL 1987 American Pop in Revue cast “American Pop” chronicles the rock-n-roll era from its birth in the 1950’s to its new wave sound of the 1980’s.
