Senior Reminiscening It seems that our class has had quite a bit of adjusting to do all thru school--changing schools, no senior trips, etc., but we have lots to look back at. To help get into the swing of high school life, we elected Paul Unger as president of our class of 112 . To help him we chose Ann Olson, vice- presidentg Danny Seiters, secretary-treasurer, and Mrs. Olson and Mr. Wilson, sponsors. We were specially honored when Sandy Thomas was crowned queen of the Valentine Dance. As our sophomore year rolled around we were saddened by the fact that it was our last year at old J. G. We chose Beth Galloway as president, supported by Danny Seiters, vice-president: and Mike Murray, secretary- treasurer. Mr. Campbell and Miss Heacock were our sponsors. Once again our candidate for the valentine dance, Sheila Hufford, was crowned queen of the festivities . I'll never try to be a salesman again, was one of the vows made during our Junior magazine sale. We earned enough to put on a beautiful prom for the seniors, using the theme--Oriental F antasy. Paul Unger was elected president of the Champaign District of Student Councils which made us very proud . Lietta Strickler was also chosen for high honor being elected sec- retary of the Student Librarians of East Central Illinois. Pat Gholson and Sandy Thomas were two of the five cheerleaders for the senior year. Ann Olson was chosen to represent our school at Girls' State while Larry Duies was our representative for Boys' State. As leaders for the senior year Paul Unger was chosen president while Mike Murray, vice-presidentg Dick Matthews, treasureri and Suzanne Umbanhower, secretary made sure of a good year for the juniors. Miss Bury and Mr. Collier 'were our sponsors. The year we had looked forward to for a long time, finally arrived. We had many leaders this year with Dick Matthews, presidentg Don Dean, vice- president: Pat Gholson, secretary, Nancy Weber, treasurer: and Mr. Allen and Miss Martin, our sponsors. Shirley Riley and Jim Webb were a queen and king for the jr-Sr Prom. We had many problems this year, especially with our S215 .991 The Sen- iors-only party we finally decided on was one of the best. The seventy-one seniors that graduated in June were all glad that they had stuck it out for the four years .
