Hold on Rich. Coach Nielsen did a fine job with the B team for his first year at Hooper. The squad was made up of one senior, three juniors, and five sophomores, and had a final season record of seven wins and eight losses. “B” Team Basketball 3 4 FRONT ROW: R. Sohl, K. Meier, R. Coach Harry Meeker had a very successful track squad this year which won the Bergan Invitational and Dodge County Track Meets. They placed third at the Cornhusker and the Dis¬ trict Track Meets and fourth at the Midland Relays. New records were set in the discus-Stork, broad jump-Liston, 440-Ott, mile relay, and two mile relay. At the District Meet, Hooper sent nine boys to State in five events. Tennis The Hooper tennis team has had a good season, this year of ,T61 . The following list of boys were out for this fine sport: R. Palmer, R. Bauer, B. Lallman, R. Sohl, D. Morrow, and R. Fachman. The regular s eason play turned out to be very successful for Palmer and Bauer, for they were undefeated in all singles contests. The players that will be representing Hooper at the State meet are: Palmer, singles; Bauer and Lallman, doubles. The three listed above and our fourth man,R. Sohl will receive a letter of merit for such a good record. LEFT TO RIGHT: R. Sohl, R. Palmer, R. Bauer, and B. Lallman.
