Seniors Take A Day Off On April 28, the Seniors started out at 3:07 A.M. for the western part of the state for the an¬ nual Senior Sneak Day. The first stop was for breakfast near Grand Island. From there they journeyed to Minden where they toured Pioneer Village. After this stop, the Seniors visited the television station KHOL-TV. The Class of ’61 took the nearest de¬ tour to Kearney where most of them viewed the Kearney Invitational Track Meet held at the Kearney State Teachers College, while others bowled, window shopped, or ate. After eating dinner in Kearney, they re¬ turned to Grand Island to see the show Pepe. It was 1:15 A.M. Saturday morning when the Seniors returned home. All abooooooard. Just what I always needed; what is it? Don't think about it, Jerri. After all, it was only a cat! 25

Ah jest won't be skeered! On April 14, 1961, the Seniors presented A Ready Made Family, a farce in three acts. This was the story of a man and woman who met on their vacations and decided to get mar¬ ried. When they reached home they were sur¬ prised to find out that the other had children. From the first the children did every thing in their power to prevent the marriage and when the marriage was disclosed the children did everything possible to make their parents get a divorce. The children resorted to fits of lunacy, baby-talk, attacks with an ax, and strange ghost¬ like voices. Even Miss Lydia, the children's eccentric aunt helped persuade Mr. Henry Turner that he should get a divorce from Agnes Martyn. Begonia, the colored cook and Nicodemus, the handy man added to the fun. In the end the children confessed to the trickery and all was forgiven. The play was directed by Kenneth Johnson with Karen Husk as the student director.
