A straw hut and palm trees were placed on the stage for the center of attraction with water skis and guitar to add to the atmosphere. A blue crepe paper ceiling with millions of silver stars, the walls decorated to resemble water and sand, and hundreds of flowers made the perfect replica of the location: Beach of Waikiki. The tables were decorated with pineapples, hats, and leis. Bob Olson and his band provided the music for the Prom that immediately followed the Banquet. 49
