It has been man's dream almost since time began, the vision of scientists like Russials Konstantin Ziolkovsky who wrote these lines in 1899 The earth is the cradle of the mind, but one cannot live forever in a cradle, To set foot on the soil of the asteroids, to life by hand a rock from the moon . . . Now suddenly, fha dream has rome true! That event - the moon landing - is very likely the most exciting, the most dramatic single event in our lifetime.
