Some of our parents went to school in it. It has felt the foot- steps of many in its life. Along with his administra tive duties, he teaches Spanish, and eighth grade math. Mr. Brown received his M.A. degree from Western State in Gunnison, Colorado, . ABOVE: Our superintendent, Mr. Rich, in his first year at Hooker, has endeared himself to students, teachers, and parents. All phases of school life have improved im- mensely under his wise guidance and supervision, He is especially interested in safety, and taught Drivers iiduca tion the second semester. Mr, Rich received his M,A LEFT: What would we have done without Mr, Hane Through all his commerce classes, seeing that the Bulldog Echoes was put out, his excellent senior sponsorship, his grade school athletics, and his numerous other jobs, he always found time for a word of advice on the Bluebook, what else is there to say but Thanks a million, Mr. Haney! RIGHT: Coach Stonewall fCharlesj Hundley has fought wars, signed treaties, and built nations in his American History classes. In addition to this strenuous work, he has coached the spirited high school basketball teams, the football teams, and sponsored the Junior class. Coach has had five successful years at Hooker, MIDDLE RIGHT: Coach Bob Riddle is the guy with the readu smile--until his football players stay out too late! Included in his duties are teaching junior high social studies, head coach for high school football and junior high football, and sponsoring the Eighth grade. X BOTTOM RIGHT: Mrs. Olene Brown has come in handy many many times this year with her glowing artistic ability. The building has had a more decorative look this year than it has had for years, and it has given us all an uplift. Mrs. Brown teaches at the grade school and has art classes at HHS. BELOW: Mrs. Jo Ellen Stevens, our school secretary, is a very good example of a Hooker High graduate. Without Q N her, the many books and records would be complete chaos. If a job has to be done, Jo Ellen will do it-- pleasantly, and with a smile! , ,' lr RNIB of -,..-v-vi This page compliments of TEX-CO GRAIN COMPANY BELOW: Mrs. Wilna Lasiter has led the music classes through assem- blies, concerts, and operettas, and they were enjoyed by all. She also braved cold weather to sponsor the senior high pep club in her first year at Hooker. FACULTY BELOW: In December, Miss Lanora Miller changed her name to Mrs. Donnie Donahoo, In addition to teaching the Home Ec classes, she led the F.H.A. girls through a successful year and was a sponsor of the Sophomore class. This is Miss Mil1er's first year of teaching. FAR LEFT: Mr. Evan Eggleston has successfully taught agriculture for three years at HHS, plus sponsoring the Sophomore class. He is always willing and ready to go dashing off in his green pick-up to rescue some F.F.A. boy's pig, LEFT: 3x -x equals - uh, what does it equal, Mrs, Willibelle Buchanan? Whenever there is a math problem, she is ready to help with it. With six children, we wonder how she has managed to teach us for the past two years, she also sponsors the seventh grade, BELOW: Mr, James Campbell--our science teacher! In addition to teaching six science classes, Mr. Campbell is in charge of the 4-H club and is a co-sponsor of the seventh grade. Mr, Campbell is new in teaching and at Hooker High, but is an oldtimer in the area, he graduated from PAMC. RIGHT: Mr. Frederick Moeller, who has been at HHS for five years, has charge of the band and P.E. De- partments. Our band becomes better each year, and the P.E. division has improved greatly with his un- tiring efforts. Mr. Moeller is a sponsor of the Freshman class, and spends many extra hours with dance band and sectional rehearsals, He is kept quite busy with grade school music classes, too! FAR RIGHT: Mrs. Georgia Moeller, fsame family as Mr. Moellerj, is one of the busiest people in HHS. She holds down numerous jobs, among them: teaching English, advisor to the Bulldog Echoes and Junior High speech club, and Fresh- man class sponsor. She is always ready to give criticism on a poem or theme and has even been known to take over the band for a Christ- mas parade. BELOW: Nearly everyone has hand- tooled leather belts. The guy responsible for this is Mr. Charles Heusel, industrial arts instructor. Hooker High's boys have learned the fine points of many crafts and trades under his watchful eye. Mr. Heusel has taught two years at Hooker. FACULTY BELOW: Ouoth the raven, Never- more. For three years, Mrs. Mary Reiswig has always been ready to listen to memory lines. She has gained fame as a play director at HHS, plus being a capable and willing senior sponsor, teaching HS English and supervising the li- brary. Soy BELOW: Mrs. Bernadine Rich-- seems we have heard the name be fore--has proved herself in one year at Hooker a capable English teacher, one who is interested in the students and always ready to help. She is sponsor of the eighth grade, and has a special interest in two certain young men in the student body. ,- I-s Cecil Bennett and Miller Griffin are our custodians. They have a big job keeping our school in running order. Their day begins early and ends late. 7-I h- ln Above, is a picture of our cafeteria taken while it was in full operation at the P.T.A. Chili Supper. The Bulldogs started the season with a 23-O win over Beaver. They piled up 7 victories in a row before being defeated by Laverne 10-O. Hooker won the District 1-C Champion- ship by defeating Boise City 28-0 and Tex- homa 20-16, but met defeat in the Bi-Dis- trict by Laverne and so closed their season. The team had a season record of 7 wins and 3 losses. The entire team, whether playing or on the bench, were good sports and always played to win until the final whistle blew.
