Gng. ln these buildings, we spend the better part of our early lives. Here, we learn everything from simple arithmetic to trigonometry. We learn to think like the adults whose place we soon will have to take. We shout triumph down their halls and utter sorrow in their depths. Here, we grow up, for here, we are trained to make our way in the world. That is all we could possibly ask for. Mr. Barr, our superintendent, grad- uated from Southwestern in 1938, He received his Masters of Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1950. BULLDOGS 26 GUYMON 6 with two minutes left in the first quarter Devon Clutter drove two yards over the goal for the first touchdown, McNabb ran 21 yards for the second score and Hill drove for the extra point. Guymon's score came in the second frame, making the score at halftime, 13-6. McNabb ran 30 yards for the next T. D. and Hill again got the extra point, Williams set up his own and last 6 points when he intercepted a pass defeating Guymon for the second time in as many years. BULLDOGS 14 BOISE CITY 12 Hooker scored first on a pass from Clutter to Hale. Then Boise City got one to make the score 7-6 in favor of Hooker. Boise City went on to get another 6 points to take the lead 12-7. BULLDOGS 20 TEXHOMA 0 Hooker jumped ahead of favor- ed Texhoma with a 35 yard run by Williams in the first quarter. Hill made the conversion with the help of fine blocking in the line. Williams again raced around left end for Hooker's second T. D, with McNabb making the conversion. In the final period of play, Mike Fankhouser went 13 yards around right end for the Bulldogs' final touchdown of the evening, and star fullback, James King, failed to make the conversion. BULLDOGS 14 BUFFALO 21 McNabb passed 10 yards to Hale to lead off the scoring in the first quarter of play. Williams's extra point put the Bulldogs ahead 7-O. Buffalo scored twice in the second quarter and their conversions put them ahead 14-7. Clutter's touchdown and McNabb's conver- sion in the third quarter brought Hooker out of the hole to tie up the ball game. BULLDOGS 19 ELKHART 21 Williams racked up two touchdowns and McNabb got one extra point for Hookers share of the scoring. Elkhart, however, got one T, D, to make the halftime score 13-7. In the third quarter, McNabb ran an 11 yard touchdown, but Elkhart did the same. No more scoring wasdone untilabout 40 seconds before the game ended. Elkhart ran one over and got the extra point. F ac 5' J' a-1 14 The Letterman's Club is exclusive in H,H,S, Not l ' every student may have the honor of belonging, To become a member of the club, one must participate At A I C for a sufficient period of time in Football, Basket- ball, Baseball, Chorus, or Band. He must fulfill the requirements set down by the instructors and an coaches of the organization to which he might be- m O long. The club raises money by operating the con- ub I c cession stand and by sponsoring a Baseball tourna- 6 ment every spring. This money is used for the purchasing of the letter jackets and sweaters which are awarded to every member of the Letterman's Club.
