HUNDLEY is Sr. High Basketball coach, Spelling and History teacher. People would say they're in love. All of the romance in our library isn't to be found in books since Mr. and Mrs. Ewing came to H. H. S. MRS. EWING is our Home Ec. teacher while MR. EWING teaches English. They also take the responsibility of sponsoring our class plays. M,C, 's new gymnasium, Hooker led by a score of 56-55 when the final whistle sounded, Hooker boys defeated Texhoma 66-48 in the first game of the County Tournament at Goodwell. They drew an overtime win against Eureka in the finals 55-53, Hooker cinched the Texas-Cimarron Con- ference when they downed Felt 53-43 and thus won their third trophy for the season. The team met sad defeat at the hands of Beaver in the District Tournament and so closed their season. The entire team, whether playing or on the bench, were good sports and always played to win until the final whistles blew. Playing for revenge after losing their first game in the Goodwell Invitational Tournament, the team later beat Keyes, winner of the girls' bracket in the tournament. In the County Tournament. held at Goodwell, the girls upset the Polar Bears from Eureka, but were de- feated in their second game by the Red Devils from Texhoma. To wind up the season the Hooker girls lost to the Beaver Dusters in the District Tournament at Beaver. Senior High girls finished in fourth place in the Texas-Cimarron conference with a 5-6 record. They finished the season with a 8-16 record. The girls played with the desire to win and a fine spirit throughout the season. They showed good team and school spirit and were always good sports. This happy fantasy of pearls, Crocodiles, sacred oracles, grass skirts, and sailors, was directed by Fields Hathorn and provided entertainment in music and story. The boys attended livestock shows and judging contestsg they return- ed many times with prizes. They sponsored a box supper and Father and Son Banquet.
