Besides his many activities, he plays the role of Frank Butler in the Senior Play, occupies himself by playing the guitar, and is fascinated by cars. He can be found almost anywhere. Future hopes include the Marines. You can always see the end of her blond ponytail as she goes hurrying some place in a merry Oldsmobile, listening to the tune You Made Me Love Youf, She likes to eat, especially pizza. Bright sweaters, pretty skirts, intriguing shoes-all those things make Bunny,' one of our best dressed senior girls. Her future plans include college. Wayne County Student Council Intramurals 1, 2 Secretary Chorus 2, 3, 4 Cheerleading 1, 2, 3, 4 Co-Captain 3, 4 SHIRLEY LOIS CONBEER Shirl', Commercial Isn't That Something Our friend uShirl can often be seen in the main office, she's Mr. McGinnis' secretary, you know. At class meetings she can often be seen busily taking notes of Senior Class activities. You might even see her scurrying around the halls of H.H.S. collecting News Staff or Spotlight articles with that worried look that indicates she is also on the Yearbook Staff. As a conscientious member of the Commercial Course, she participates in the FBLA iFuture Business Leaders of Amer- ical. She just adores setting hair and doing dishes as well as lots of homework, sewing, and baby sitting. Al, bowling, and driving our,' Chevy are her favorite pastimes although she can often be found at ,Ioker's or ,loanis listening to I Only Have Eyes For Youll while counting her pennies. Then again you may hear him rebuking the Senior Class for not paying their dues. He can be'found almost anywhere with any number of girls, but never will you find a seventh grader among them. His relaxed attitude may be attained while listening to the tune Sleep Walk. He dis- likes sloppy girls. In the near future he plans for East Strouds- burg State Teacher's College and more time to enjoy his hobbies of gymnastics and hunting. Early morning risings, spinach and exaggerating people are her peeves but are happily met by her glibness and hobby - collecting salt and pepper shakers and a boy named George. A true outdoor man he loves hunting and fishing and these carry him to his habitat - 'over the hill. Sammie and drafting with Tim and Joe keep him occupied but his real urge is to join the United States Air Force and fly over the 'gCaribbean,' with the boys in blue. MYRON J. BORSDAM CGMY-r0n77 General The Sheik of Honesdale Highf' For our My-ron is truly a ladies' man. If you see a group of girls. Myron is usually in sight, especially in the cafeteria study hall last period. The three musketeers, Stahl, Doherty and Borsdam, can always be found kibitzing in the halls or running for play props in Myron's truck. His favorite hobby is eating - anything and everything. Some branch of the service awaits him after his painful departure from H.H.S. ACTIVITIES Driver Training 1 Chorus 4 Senior Play 4 BONNIE BRYANT 'gC'est la vie. Academic Our Bonnie is the psychologist of the class. She's always telling us, It's all in your heads. Child guidance work is her future aim. Bonnie is usually found in Tony's or running after her small size Pekingese. A great letter writer and a devoted reader also mark her personality. Among her likes are Mr. Eno's Physics I, progressive jazz, classical music and Beatniks. In her high school memories Bonnie will always treasure trying to sell Docis signature on her corridor pass. The homework is natural - but girls, Bob? He will always be remembered as the waiter in the Senior play. Never a dull night was spent when Bob was at practice. He's usually found at John's, tapping his foot to the tune of the Guitar Boogie Shuffle. Leather crafts proves to be his favorite hobby. Bob is planning a naval career after graduation. Larry is one of the more conservative boys of our class, but a very busy one, being President of the Honesdale FF A,'as well as of the Wayne Pike FFA. He likes nice cars, but his dislikes include homework and women. People who are too seriously-minded are his pet peeves. As Larry likes to spend his leisure time outdoors, it is little wonder that he should choose hunting and fishing as his favorite hobbies. Larry is, as of yet, undecided about his future plans, but we wish him luck in whatever he may choose. ACTIVITIES FFA 1, 2, 3, 4 President 4 CAROLYN E. DAY CCI-Julun General You're the boss! Carolyn is a musically-minded girl who likes singing and enjoys classical, as well as popular music. Jesu Bambino is her favorite song. Her dislikes include mushrooms and studying. She's usually found working hard at Day's Bakery, where she tires of hearing people ask, ls it fresh? She lists her hobbies as Vincent, square dancing, and decorating cakes. Commercial You big ape! ,lerry's one of our talented musicians whose favorite song is I Believe. He hopes to become a member of the Navy Band in the near future. His likes include girls, of course. College holds the greatest attraction for Margie', after graduation. The simple things in life appeal to Bill, who enjoys eating, sleeping, week-ends and dates. He dislikes homework and girls who talk about their dates. In classes he can be found either combing his hair or sleeping. His favorite song is The Deck of Cards. Bill expects to join some branch of the Services in the future. His favorite song is UA Certain Smilev which he hears at Tony's on weekends, when not working at the ASIP. Tom was piqued by an un- successful 4'lVIodel A, but he still lists girls, Big Pursesv as his pet peeve. He dislikes homework, but thinks Mr. Greggis Study Hall makes up for it. Tom's ambitions include being the manager of ASIP, and following his hobby of photography. She is often found rapidly typing out absentee slips or copies for Miss Brussells. After school and on weekends, Joyce can be found working at Newman's, where she plans to continue after school. Joyce is a neat blond with a ready smile and an intense dislike for high heels with socks fwith minor aversions to homework and testsl. Her taste and personality paid off in her candidacy for Dairy Queen. ACTIVITIES Homemaking Club 1 FBLA 4 FRED LEWIS ENO C6Sage37 Academic That's impossible! Fred, nicknamed g'Fritz by the girls in Latin I class, is Doc's favorite inventor fsquare corn for chickens that lay square eggsl, and a prominent member of the RFA ffioman Forces of Americal. His dormant attitude has fooled many, but his friends fand teachersl know that this exterior hides a keen scientific brain. Although he lists That's impossible! as his favorite expression, he doesn't seem to want to believe it and is often found in his electronics workshop fwhen not doing choresj. All is not seriousness for Fred though, he is a Dodger fan and likes rock and roll, listing Dream Lovern and 'SI Div Girls as two of his favorites. FASCESKI SGJOCS7 General Wfhatis life l i' Joe appears to be quiet, but upon closer observation, the opposite becomes evident. Remember the episode with the cricket, Joe? Hunting rates highly with this lad as well as mechanics and the U. S. Marines. When it comes to singing, his likes range from ML Bluev to the 6'Marine's Hymnf, Home- work never bothers Joe, he just ignores it. Old Jim runs his Black Beast around town from morning to night-never trying and always keeping one eye on the road and the other on the girls. Jimis secret desire is to have a harem all his own-preferably on a deserted island. Hunting. boating. and a darkroom ffor pho- tographic purposes onlyl come under Jim's '4fun category. College and managing the Firmstone Oil Company lay ahead for him after graduation. This famous smile becomes a teasing grin when aimed at Dianne Hempstead on Ballow's Bus. He may be seen on any morning as a bearer of the news which he dex- terously flings on porches. He is a mighty sports fan and be- longs to the Seelyville critics club, a debating group whose main topics include sports and girls. In the future Tom plans to major in physical education. Perhaps that's why he pays such close attention to Mr. Kiegler in gym class. She loves animals, is fond of men, food and telling jokes to Betty in prearranged sessions during typing class. Her fondest dream and one she plans to make reality is a jaunt through the United States and surrounding countries-nothing that takes less than a few years. ACTIVITIES F.B.L.A. 4 DONALD GAGER General I will try anything once. Little Iakei' in the Senior Play is one of the good looking boys of our class. Don is seldom without his two-tone Blue Buick, and very often it's heading for Forest City with the Hguysf, His five feet three inches is topped with a ready smile, soon to be incorporated into some branch of the service. This is his most definite plan for the future. She is noted for her wicked rendition of She,ll be coming 'Round the Mountain seen in Mr. Marshall's assembly. It takes second place, however, to Where or When, her favorite song. ,Ioker's', excitement anywhere, especially at New Year's Eve parties. English has become a challenge for her since she learned to always repeat mentally whatever Miss Baxter says in order to keep from daydreaming. Di was one of the stars of Miss Wood's now famous melodrama, A Case of Murder as she helped Myron to become I'I.H.S.'s favorite detective. She has listed among her dislikes math and short skirts. When the proprietor hesitates. Annie points out that these birds are not all shot upg 'ijust one little hole in the head. lt just so happens that Buffalo Bill,s Wild West Show is in the process of moving into this hotel. and in spite of the owner's objections, the show people are tacking up signs, making speeches, etc. 'llhcir handsome and famous sharpshooter. Frank Butler, challenges any local person to a shooting match. The irate proprietor. after seeing Annie demonstrate her ability with a gun. has her accept Frank's challenge. Annie puts on a great show and beats Frank. She is so good that Buffalo Bill per- suades her to join the show. She accepts, mainly so she can be by Frank. for she has fallen in love with him. The show tours the country. and Annie becomes more and more popular until she is the main attraction. Frank has fallen in love with her: but when she becomes too popular, he thinks she is trying to beat him. and he leaves to join Pawnee Billis show. Nleanwhile. Annie has become friends with Chief Sitting Bull. and he adopts her into the Sioux trilme as his daughter. Time passes and Buffalo Bill's show tours Europe. They are graciously re- ceived. but they are paid with medals and trophies instead of money. Their bank account becomes so low that they return to New York on a cattle boat. As they enter the harbor they are met by a boat from Pawnee Bill. inviting them to a party in their honor. They accept, in the hope that they can talk Pawnee Bill into merging the two shows: and Annie hopes that She and Frank will be able to do a little merging. Z' I' 'l'hev arrive at the party. Annie,s chest covered with jeweled medals from her trip. She finally meets Frank. and they are off to a good start until the conversation turns to who is the greatest shooter. 'l'hcy quarrel. and decide on a shooting match the next day to see who can shoot better. Sitting Bull decides she would he better off losing the match. so he fiwres the sights on Annie's guns. She tries each gun the day of the match and cannot hit the target. Finally old Sitting Bull explains the situation to her. and she lets Frank win.
