'nn L'- . ,lr sup: ii x ' ' N W ' , AX ' Us N .A X , , 1 l 3 4 f l Our senior year has been the busiest and most exciting year of our high school career. We had our senior play, senior ball, the banquet with the juniors, class night and so many things that came in 1954. This has been a doubly enjoyable year for usg this is the first year since 1947 that the seniors have been allowed to have a year book. We have tried to capture the most exciting, interesting, and memorable moments of our senior year in The Hornet. We hope that you will enjoy seeing and reading The Hornet just as much as we have enjoyed preparing it for you. We hope that we not only have captured our most mem- orable moments, but yours as well. It is our wish that future senior classes have a yearbook and that they enjoy theirs as much as we have enjoyed ours. S j 2 5.1 DEDICHTION We, the senior class of 1954, wish to dedicate our yearbook, The Hornet, to the senior class of 1955 with hope that they will find as much pleasure in working on their yearbook as we have had while working on ours. Though we have become tired and irritable at times and thought that publishing this book was a never-ending job, none of us would have traded it for anything. And so, it is to you, the class of 1955, that we dedicate the first issue of The Hornet. 3 I Q thi? l X L fi, l - 9 ,fuel W f W If'2'5 f NX X551 R SWE: K Z'1'Ei.w 3 W? gap, . AW .-., MR. The 1954 HORNET Yes, the yearbook is finally out, and we are proud of it. The tremendous amount of work required to edit a yearbook can only be realized by those who have been on a yearbook staff. Yet, there is no comparison between the abundance of re- wards and the work involved. lt has been an experience which we shall never forget and which we shall hold close to our hearts always. PRESS CLUB The Press Club is an active organization which publishes the school newspaper. This, the sister publication of the yearbook, is also named the Hornet . VARSITY BASKETBALL HORNETS TAKE HC CROWN After getting off to a slow start at the beginning of the year, the Honeoye Falls Hornetsu made a strong comeback under the leadership of as Coach Meisenzahl to clinch the MC league crown. The boys dropped 8 out of the first 9 games and were determined to reverse this record. They did by taking 8 out of the 9 last games. The boys' great courage and de- termination drove them on to pull themselves up by the boot straps from a cellar team to the class MC sec- tional play-offs. Every game played and won was a hard earned victory, and when the boys lost they were good losers.
