SENIOR DIRECTORY 35 VALEDICTORIANS Julia Ann Rasnake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rasnake of Honaker, received first place recognition in the American Legion Dis- trict Contest Held in Vansant in January. She received a check for $750 plus a $100 sav- ings bond for her effort. She also received an all expense paid trio to Danville to compete in the sub-state competition. All contestants had to speak on some aspect of the US. Constitution. Julia also won 2nd in the state Beta Conven- tion Oratorical Competition. Stephen M. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jackson, of Honaker, received an appoint- ment to attend the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He has been active in many school clubs and taken part in track and basketball while in school. Stephen en- joys reading magic and drawing. Leslie A. Dotson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Connie Dotson of Honaker. Leslie re- ceived The Good Citizenship Award from Honaker High School. She has also taken part in many school clubs and activities.
