FOREWORD Indian Summer is that brief period of late fall when the sun shines warmly, the sky is bright, and the atmosphere is hazy. The Glass of 1962 thinks of its senior year as the Indian Summer of its life in Honaker High School. While basking in the sun- shine and warmth of these last happy days, we gaze through the haze into a cold and somewhat uncertain future where we will be separated from one another. May we in the years ahead recapture the happy memories of classmates, teachers, and school activi- ties through the pages of THE TORCH. — 2 -
