Class Will We, the Senior Class of 1952, Honaker High School, City of Honaker, Russell County, Vir- ginia, being of sound mind, do hereby declare this to be our last will and testament, duly drawn and signed this the 26th day of May, in the year of our Lord, one thousand, nine hundred, a nd fifty-two. We do solemnly will and bequeath the following: To the Juniors we leave all the traditions and privileges of Seniors, in hope that they will enjoy and fulfill them to the fullest extent. To the faculty we leave our respect, admiration, and deep gratitude for the help and ad- vice which they have given us during our high school years. To dear old Honaker High we leave the memory of both the good times and the bad shared by us in our happy, but often torturous, progress through its halls of learning. Nancy Albert gives her cheerleading uniform to Mary K. Davis, and her love for the State of Virginia to Mr. Strickland. Don Barrett bestows upon Buddy Mullins his musical ability. Marvin Barton wills his double-clutching ability to Mr. Couch and hopes this will make him a better driver. John L. Boyd bequeaths his wavy hair to Mrs. E. N. Busic. Clara Campbell wills her ability to get Home Economics to Reba Corns. James Cassell gives his fielding experience in baseball to Larry Sykes. Ruth Chambers leaves her title “Senior Queen” to Bobbie Van Dyke. Nellie Coleman bequeaths her quiet disposition to some loud-mouthed Junior. Anna Ruth Combs hopefully wills everything she possesses except Glenn to Nadrene Shell. Lorene Combs gives some of her sewing ability to Reba Corns and hopes that it will do some good. Curtis Cox leaves to Frank Brown his job at the Blue Valley Creamery. Edd Deel wills his position in basketball to Tolby Johnson. Alvin Dye gives his interest in Dramatics to LaRoy Whited. Mary Elizabeth East gives her false tooth to “Jeep” Beavers. Margaret Fletcher bequeaths her height to Sarah Love Gregory. Charles Fogleman leaves his low desk to Kyle Gregory. Grayce Garrison wills her skill at whispering out loud to anyone who gets a back seat. Bud Gent reluctantly gives his limousine “Vangie Gal” to Harless Wilson. Darlene Harris gives her quietness in class to Ruby Hess. Laura Harris wills her ability to drive a certain green Chevrolet to Shirley Harris. C. A. Hess leaves some of his bashfulness to his brother Ulis. Curtis Hess leaves his back seat in History Class to Carlos Ray so he can look out the door. Shirley Hess gives her remarkable memory to someone in the Junior Class but has forgotten who. Don Honaker wills his ability to play basketball to Jackie Miller. Paul Honaker wills his typewriter to Bill Corns. Peggy Hughes wills her title “Miss Senior” to Christine Irick. Douglas Jamison hopes to leave some of his driving ability to Columbus Hess. Lois Jackson wills her slenderness to Shirley Owens. Louise Jackson wills her vivid imagination to Larry Sykes. Bill Justice bequeaths his position as F. F. A. President to Garland Hess.
