We, the Seniors of Honaker High School, Class of ’47, Russell County, State of Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be our Last Will and Testament, and hereby revoke all wills and codicils by us at any time heretofore made. To Mr. Baldwin our Principal, Miss Fuller our Sponsor, and other faculty members who have guided us and endeavored to inculcate in us a lofty idealism and a high sense of personal honor, we leave our deepest gratitude and best wishes. To the Juniors we leave the honorable place we now hold as Seniors, and hope that they may make Honaker High School a better place. We sincerely hope that their days may be as enjoyable and profitable as ours. Evelyn Baldwin wills her eyelashes and love for butter scotch sundaes to Jean Hughes. Lawrence Bostic leaves his blonde hair to Earl Steele. Dallas Boyd wills his talent for playing foot- ball to Joe Hubbard. Jimmy Boyd bequeaths his handsome manli- ness and his curly hair to Frank Brown. Virginia Anne Combs wills her quietness to Helen Bales. Dorothy Davis wills her bashfulness to Truladane Hale. Gerelene Fuller giver her molds to Anna Pearl Smith. Kyle Fuller gives his red hair and love for sketching aeroplanes to Joe Dye. Geanette Gent leaves her good looks to Billie Jo Yates and hopes she may thereby keep her appeal to the masculine sex. Gerald Griffith wills his interest in Honaker High School to those who need it. Harold Gregory wills his height to Clifford Lee. Curtis Hess gives his loud voice to Donald Owens. Edith Honaker wills her friendly disposition and small physique to Mary Frances Hess. John Honaker wills his most affectionate love to Ruthie Brown. Harry Honaker is proud to leave Honaker High School but bates to leave Jo Ann behind. Millard Hylton wills his nice quiet person- alitv to J. C. Jessee. Bobbie Jackson gives her position in Typing and Shorthand to some commercial minded Junior. Ruth Jackson gives her interest in the op- posite sex to Hester Hamm. Thelma Johnson gives some of her chubbi- ness to Georgia Honaker. Rufus Jamison wills his heart to Goldie Peck. Evelyn Loomis bequeaths her Alan Ladd.; pictures to Thelma Sue Ray. Ellen Miller wills her short hair to Zeola Foleno. Billie Morford leaves some of his strength to all weakly Juniors. Dixie Musick wishes to will her diamond ring to Vivian Miller but not her man. Willard Newberry wills his English gram- mar ability to Carl Newberry. Gaylena Phillips wishes to give her short medium brown hair to Madeline White. Guy Plaster wills his speaking ability to Harold Crabtree. Dee Plaster gladly leaves some of his hair to Mr. Busic. Ruthie Plaster wills her ability to talk fast to Mattie Sharp. Henry Rickman wills his slender physique to Mike Steele. Ora Lee Ray bequeaths some of her boy friends from Finney to the lucky Juniors. Betty Sargent wills her figure to Vera Glenn Mullins. Phyllis Shelton wills her appetite to Leona Sutherland. Kirby Smith gives his talent for singing and playing the guitar to Craig Sutherland. Betty Jo VanDyke wills her appeal for the opposite sex to Wilma Miller. J. P. Wilson gives his interest in football to Leslie Cline. Cecil Wilson desires to leave Hewlett Wilson some of his basketball points. Garnet Howard wills his vacant seat in English class to Brady Smith.
