After a hard fought game, the BUCKS were on the long end of the score by a margin of 14 to 73 but they beat the HUSKIES for the first time in the last four seasons. The next game found the BUCKS playing host to the Pawnee BLACK BEARS. With their offense working smoothly, the BUCKS out-classed the BEARS by a score of 50 to 12. The next game found the BUCKS on the road to Shidler. The BUCKS, with a slight case of over-confidence, were upset by the surprisingly strong Shidler team 30 to 18. After the first defeat of the season, the BUCKS came back strongly to defeat the heavily favored Cleveland TIGERS by a margin of 19 to 12. Returning the next week, the BUCKS journeyed to Barnsdall to hand the PANTH RS a 26 to 6 walloping. The next week they came back home for the Annual Homecoming Game October 22. Homlny played host to the powerful Dewey BULLDOGGERS. At the half-way mark, the BUCKS were trailing by a 7 to 0 count: but after Captain elect, Fred Drummond, crowned the beautiful queen, Fannie Streetman, the BUCKS bounced back to score two quick touchdowns only to have Dewey tie up the count in the last few minutes 13 to 15. The final whistle blew finding the BUCKS ahead on penetrations. The next week the potent Skiatook BULLDOGS handed the BUCKS their second defeat of the season after a hard fought tussel. The BUCKS dropped a thriller 20 to 15. The next game the BUCKS met theaggressive Fairfax RED DEVILS. Before the opening kickoff, the Downtown Quarterback Club presented a monu- ment in honor of all the boys who have played football for Hominy High School and also named the field 'BUCKS MEMORIAL FIELD'. After this grand presentation, the BUCKS overcame the powerful RED DEVILS' attack and handed them a 12 to 7 defeat after mastering three bril- liant goal line stands. The BUCKS left the home gridiron for the last game of the season. They met the under-estimated Yale BULL- DOGS who held the BUCKS to a 14 to 14 tie with the BUCKS winning on first downs and also winning the NORTH STATE CONFERENCE. This made the season's record five wins, two losses, and two ties. Fi t R L ft to Ri ht: Bryan Swope Eugene LaCrone Darrell Gan- nozsHar2Zy Shelton, goddy Waller, Bob,Wilson, Carl Core, Bill Reamy.
