Shoveling through gym doors. students nudged their vvay to the bleachers where they leisurely sat down in their class sections to be confronted by cheerleaders. either dressed to the tune of the 50's or clickingtheir fingers to revenge newspaper editorials on the uselessness of pep rallies and repeating Spice, he's nice. Occasionally enthusiasts helped to put on skits and pep talks frequented the sessions. invigorating spirited fans and teamsforthe upcoming games. In trying to aid the promotion of school spirit, voluntary pep sessions replaced forcing uninterested students into the gym. Classrooms still appeared barren, during pep sessions as most students found the rallies an escapefrom class. Nlotivations and screams of zealousfansatthe games mingled with the general din. l-lot and thirsty. they besieged the concession stand during half-time to be replenished for the often close games. l
