Q V In 1972 the world was still fervently hoping for peace, justice, freedom, equality and comfort. ln turn each community, school and organization strived for individual and group peace, equality and achievement. Americans anticipated that our Olympic athletes would return from Germany and Japan with pure gold. Leaders from community officials to the President attempted to lift our country's spirits and image and to help preserve our natural resources.
