Notes, like in History class? No, these are the kind of notes that you find on a sheet of music. Mixed notes of blaring trumpets, huge bass, and soft flutes could be heard waffling through the closed doors of E building. The wind ensemble blended their sounds and ideas to end up with ear- pleasing music. Although the name wind ensemble can be misleading to those who aren't aware of what exactly that is, the group is made up of the brass instruments often seen as part of the Mighty Mustang marching band. Aspiring vocalists or even just-interested-in-singing students had their opportunity to take note but in an oral form. The choir as a class satisfied this alternative to studying music because, instead of reading the notes they sang the words to go along with them. Classical notes are the first thing that usually comes to mind when the word orchestra is mentioned, right? But that isn't the only thing that the group participates in. Parts in musicals and country music have become more popular for the string instruments and their more modern off springs like the modern guitar and the fiddle. So, whatever your style, whether it's oral, classical, or brass inspired, Homestead has a variety of avaliable spots for you. 194-Clubs and Organizations
