outh for Understanding Homesteaavs Contribution to World Understanding-Summer 1971 SUSAN THOMAS VISITED THE HAGUE CDEN HAAGJ, HOLLAND. My summer gave me the chance to travel and experience a new way of life. Communicating and living with a fam- ily, I enjoyed learning through them. ,cw other countries. PENNY WILLIAMS VISITED CONCEPCION, CHILE. Living in Chile was a totally strange experience. Schools aren't coed, pedestrians don't have the right of way, and parties sometimes include breakfast. Throughout the two months, I learned to deal with many unfamiliar situations. DOROTHY ALLEN VIS- ITED SWEDEN. Living in Sweden this past summer was a great learning experience for me. Sweden is a very beautiful and peaceful country, and is truly the land of the midnight sun. I am greatful to Home- stead High for giving me the op- portunity to go, and the Y.F.U. for finding me a very nice host family. Tack -sa mycket. MARY KAY MCCOY VIS- ITED SWITZERLAND QSCHWEIZJ. Living another way of life really made me learn something about myself. I had many good experiences but there were also those that weren't so good. The people were so simple and life wasn't the big rush it is here. The food was great! I traveled all through Switzerland and hit Germany, France, and Italy. I can't wait to go back. Maybe in three years. Not pictured is Eileen Hen- dren who visited Germany. DEBBIE BALDWIN VISITED ANTONY, FRANCE. I had a wonderful summer in Antony, France fnear Parisj. I was able to meet new people, learn their customs, and learn their way of life. It is a great chance to travel and see
