Junior arsit Basketball The Homestead Junior Varsity Basketball team compiled a respectable record dur- ing the season. Guided by Coach Alves, they established an overall record of 9 wins and 9 losses. Although the J.V. team did not boast one outstanding performer, they received strong performances from several key players. Guard Phil Castaneda was a con- sistent performer all season as well as junior forward Fred Gribi. The team received added support from Jerry McCann, Scott Mitchell, Tom Munson, and Kim Red- ington. A slow start at the beginning of the season plagued the team but they made tre- mendous progress as evidenced by its close games with the league leaders. Adding to the advancement of the league winning record was the improved playing of sophomores Jim Adams and John Ohran. X .Q , N 3 wg .z. ff? Q t ith- RHF . . x,'35SS' .,.
