Junior arsity Football The J.V.'s completed the 1971 season by taking the League Championship with an overall record of S wins and 1 loss. They received first place honors by stam- pedeing the Cupertino Pioneers 35 to 14. Gaining First Team All-League honors were: Tim Taylor-Quarterback, Mark Vanni-Fullback falso Most Valuable Player in the Leaguej, Mark Kolsrud- Tackle, Bill DeHart-Guard, Dave Sutton-Defensive Back, Carl Copley-Defen- sive Tackle, and Steve Sampson-Defensive End. Steve Lopez-Defensive Tackle and Steve McNicol-Linebacker received Honorable Mention. The offensive team averaged 279 yards per game and the defensive team allowed 170 yards per game.
