3 ma.. t ARCHI G BA For the fourth consecutive year the Mustang Marching Band was voted the best in the area and among the best in the state. Directed by Mr. Donithorne, led by Reed Sparks, and with an enthusiastic seventy members, the band put a total of SOO hours in one show. The band's fast paced half-time performances easily matched the action of the Mustangs winning football teams. The sound of brass and percussion and the smart stepping precision marching of the Mustang bandsmen certainly brightened the Band Day in Berkeley.
