Best Dressed Couple Chris Wahle and Bob Pifferini Sadie Hawkins Piles of hay together with yellow and orange hearts set the mood for Love on a Haystack , Homestead's i968 Sadie Hawkins dance. Couples danced to the music of the Copper Brick Window and drank soft drinks in the Ol' Saloon. The evening was highlighted by the crowning of Steve Bielenberg as king. His court included Don Mack, Lin Loring, Bob Pifferini, and Dan Duckworth. Chris Wahle and Bob Pifferini reigned as best dressed couple. l They kept Marrin' Sam busy. l l L King Steve Bielenberg Princes Don Mark, Lin Loring, Bob Pifferini, and Dan Duckworth And they said I couldn't saddle him!

The Court: Princesses Pat Jones. Schoen Faber. Suzanne Mulkern. and Chellie Faber. ,,,... Homecoming l96 Golden trumpets signaled the arrival of Homestead s fifth annual Homecoming Dance. Castle walls. palace courtyards, and medieval countryside set the theme Felt flags, streamers, iousting stand, and stained glass windows added to the decorations. More work and organization went into the making of this complete setting than in any dance previously held. lt can be well said that the effort was not wasted. From 8 to l I, music was provided by Johnny Vaughn and his orchestra. But the climax of the evening came with the coronation and presentation of red roses to Queen, Linda Bagnall. Princesses Chellie Faber Schoen Faber, Pat Jones, and Suzanne Mulkern were each presented with yellow f. FOSGS.
