The Junior Varsity surged forward to second place in the league standings with 9 wins, 2 losses, and an average of 35 points per game. The '68 varsity grapplers ended with a 5 win 6 loss record. COACH HEPNER The Homestead Mustangs, urged on by Coach Henner, pooled their strength to compose the I968 edition of the swimming and diving teams. The inaugural athletic clash between Santa Clara and Homestead came on March 22, when the two teams battled a tension-filled meet. Although ending in defeat, the Homestead wetbacks came back to avenge oncomming teams. The varsity, led by key members Steve Gentes, Dave Kirby, Steve McKinzie, Bill Simp- kins, Mike Wargo, and John Gebers and the Bees team, led by Steve Fisk, Jim Parker, Larry Wargo, Jeff White, Doug Woodruff, and Conrad Zaiss marked this year's performance with spirit and high morale.
