OUR SUPERINTENDENT Mr. William V. Campbell A.B. Duquesne University M.A. Duquesne University To the Graduates of the Class of 1961: Another step in your education is ended and now you look to the future. In the years immediately ahead, the educational require- ments for better jobs will steadily increase. Procuring a job and the ability to hold it and advance will depend increasingly on the type and amount of education and vocational training possessed by the young person entering the labor market. New developments in the professions, in automation, in elec- tronics, and precision machinery will accelerate the trend toward more jobs for the educated and the skilled, and correspondingly fewer opportunities for the unskilled. Be ready for opportunity.

OUR PRINCIPAL The Class of 1961 is nearing the close of twelve years of free schooling. What you have learned and how you have been challenged to go on to do greater things, will be shown by the manner in which you continue to advance. It is my fond hope that you will always set high ideals for yourselves and strive diligently to reach them. Cherish the friends you have made, and plan for periodic reunions to keep alive the fine memories you have for each other.
