The Student Council supported the Highlander Memorial, which was built to serve as a focus point for Highlander spirit and strength. The Council also continued Honor Study Hall to encourage honorable and leadership qualities. Improving the School community, helping students to assume responsibility, and encour- aging desirable qualities of leader- ship were some of the main objectives that the Council fulfilled through these projects. Homestead's A.F. S. Chapter con- sists of adults from the community in addition to a representative from each class, former A.F.S. candidates, and the Student Council vice-president.
