To the Class of 1964: You are about to leave Homestead for other fields of endeavor. We hope that you are well prepared to meet the challenges which you will be forced to answer. Please remember to be proud and unbending if honest failure should come your way, and to be gentle and humble in your success. Stand tall and straight in the face of adver- sity, but remember to have compassion on those who fall. Realize that you must master yourself before you attempt to master others. Seek not the way of luxury and comfort, but face the stimulation of challenge and difficult goals. Reach towards the future, but never neglect the past with its lessons of wisdomg approach all problems and decisions with an open mind and a willingness to look at all the facts and all sides of the question.
