The Juniors worked diligently trying to make this annual affair a big success. The coronation of the king and queen was held at 10:00 P.M. They were crowned by last year's royalty, Dallas Kroll and Cheri Brill. Following the Prom, :x post-prom party was held at Parc-Wood Country Club by the Rotarians. This conference is one of the toughest to compete in and considered one of the best in the state. We accomplished something that a new school is not likely to do. We lost thc Conference Football Championship by six inches. Our team has worked hard to become the best in the conference. We hope to have this honor next year. 7 ei . It was the first year that the news- paper contained six pages and advertising. The staff also did a fine job of publishing a student directory and Homecoming program. John Wicker, the editor, spent two weeks last June at a joumalism seminar at the University of Wisconsin. Early in the fall Frank Vedder and Mary Spacth represented I-lomestead's journal- ism staff at the State Joumalism Conference at Madison.
