The Flashdance fashion spread throughout Ferguson this year. The cut-off sweatshirts and t-shirts proved to be the Mariners’ style. Pink and black, turquoise, red, and many other New Wave colors brightened the dim hallways. Mariners also wore the sleek and sophisticated dressy look of slim and bow ties, pumps and dresses. Ocean Pacific, Wave Riding Vehicles, Pipeline and Lightening Bolt were among the many different brands of surfwear worn this year. Popular footwear included vans, pumps, ked tennies, and Converse high-tops. Fashion Conscious Mariners Were ‘Dressed to Kall” , i Ron Johnson finds his surfjacket comfortable for school.
