Two foreign exchange students sponsored by the American Field Service were Carlos Mejia of Bogata, Colombia, and Sara Blucher of Stockholm, Sweden. A folk concert and several bake sales helped to raise money. An exchange program in April sent five students to New York. They returned bringing foreign students for a few days ' visit. A banquet in honor of Car- los and Sara ended the year. Campus Life, also known as Youth for Christ, met each week as a Ferguson club and several times each month with all area clubs. Meetings alternated be- tween Impact, recreation with a purpose, and Insight, a Bible study discussion related to today ' s youth. March of Dimes, Heart Fund benefit as Key Club gives Members of the Key Club served the community by collecting for Muscu- lar Dystrophy, the March of Dimes, and the Heart Fund. The boys held a clothing drive for Proclaim House and hid Easter eggs for handicapped kids. As a part of the well-rounded service organization, the Key Club had guest speakers from different vocations come and talk to them every two weeks. The year was topped off by the election of Anthony Jernigan as District Lieutenant Governor. 26
